David J. Olson, CIMA®

Dave serves as a director of MacroView Investment Management. In this role he oversees the business development and client relations priorities for the firm. He is also actively involved in the firm’s broader wealth management/consulting initiatives and serves on the firm’s investment committee.

Dave earned a bachelors degree in finance from James Madison University. He also achieved his Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation through the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and the Investment Management Consultants Association.

Dave spent eight years at a large boutique wealth management firm in Bethesda, MD where he carried the titles of Senior Client Advisor & Chief Investment Strategist. From 2013 to 2017, he served as the Director of Portfolio Management / Director of Client Relations for a DC-based RIA that offered a full suite institutional investment services including a long/short equity hedge fund strategy.

Dave lives in Bethesda, Maryland. He’s an active member of USA Triathlon and is involved with multiple charitable organizations.
